702 Print & Marketing is a fast-paced and quickly growing printing company specializing in large format printing. We are currently inviting a professional, full-time Pre-Press/Print Manager to apply and join our team to help manage our print and pre-press departments.
Job Summary
A Pre-Press/Print Manager leads and/or assists in the file layout and printing of printed projects. They are friendly, observant, and able to represent our company in the best light possible. They are able to communicate with other team members and offer opinions to add value to our company. They are able to print with the understanding of finishing and the efficiency in mind.
- Safely operate equipment, following rules and training manuals.
- Delegate and complete projects within a specified timeframe while maintaining high levels of quality.
- Understand the instructions given by customer service representatives fully and be able to communicate this to the team.
- Check-in with project managers regarding job status, issues, and/or questions.
- Assist with installations of vinyl decals on vehicles, windows, walls, and other surfaces.
- Understand the documents that are associated with each order.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.
- Assist in print or other areas and "go where the work is."
Key skills / requirements are:
- Manage and develop a team of individuals in a professional and motivating way.
- Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across GoogleŁ« Yahoo and Bing.
- Experience in a wide format print production environment.
- Understand and have experience running roll-to-roll UV printers as well as flatbed/hybrid UV printers.
- Proficient at reading work orders and fully understanding verbal and written instructions.
- Dependable and energetic.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Trimming and cutting printed products on tables.
- Understanding of finishing of banners (sewing/welding).
- Able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers.
- Able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations.
- Be able to measure to fractions of an inch, to help perform outside site surveys and record measurements as requested.
- Ability to lift 100lbs at any given time
- Light fabrication work and use of power tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable, punctual, presentable, enthusiastic, and have an honest, hard-working attitude.
- Ability to take direction and follow through with what is asked of you in a timely manner.
